Kaizer Chiefs fans might be a bit disappointed to hear that the club is not pushing for any big name players during the current transfer window.
AmaKhosi coach Stuart Baxter is confident that the same squad that won the league and the Nedbank Cup last season will be able to withstand the pressure until the next transfer window opens.
Speaking with Goal, Baxter says he is satisfied with what he has at the moment despite the majority of his star players and regulars spending a lot of time with the national team.

“I have been using with the same team as I was in the previous season, and a lot expected us to go the market, but at this point in time I’m happy with the current squad,” Baxter told Goal.
Nonetheless, Baxter confirms that they’d still be monitoring the market, but he is certain that they will bring in new players ahead of their Caf Champions League campaign next year.
“However, that doesn’t mean we are not going to sign players. We are monitoring the market and we will beef up the squad before we go to Africa [for the Caf Champions League],” added Baxter.

AmaKhosi have been linked with several PSL-based players including Bafana’s Lebogang Manyama, but the Ajax Cape Town attacking midfielder is likely to remain in Cape Town at least for now.
The PSL champions have made their intensions very clear that they are looking for a top centre-back to fill the void left by Lincoln Zvasiya who was loaned out to Greek side OFI Crete FC.
