thumbnail Hello,

The 25-year-old Mayambela was also on the wanted list of Bloem Celtic, but Aces have reacted quicker to capture his signature

Former Orlando Pirates attacking midfielder Mark Mayambela will still be plying his trade in the PSL after signing with the new PSL boys, Mpumalanga Black Aces.

Aces confirmed the deal on Friday afternoon revealing that Mayambela has agreed to a one-year contract with the club that has signed a new team completely.

Mayambela has been without a club since his contract with Pirates expired at the end of June, and he was also turned down by Moroka Swallows over two weeks ago.

The former Bloem Celtic man is eager to command a regular place in Clive Barker’s starting line-up having been used primarily as an impact player during his time at Pirates.

He was also thought to be heading to Europe to try his luck with an unnamed Turkish club, but the move seemed unlikely to happen as he continued to negotiate with local teams.

The 25-year-old dribbling wizard was also on the wanted list of Bloem Celtic, but the Free State outfit didn’t show more determination to lure Mayambela back to Mangaung.
