Goal can confirm that Bidvest Wits midfielder Mzikayise Mashaba has completed his move to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Mashaba signed a three-year contract with the Brazilians on Thursday, and he joins a host of new players at Sundowns as Pitso Mosimane continues to restructure the team.

Sundowns’ media officer Thulani Thuswa confirmed that the player has indeed signed, and that the club is looking forward to working with him in the next three years.

“I am happy to confirm that we have signed Mzikayise Mashaba from Bidvest Wits on Thursday. It’s a three-year contract,” confirmed Thuswa.

Mashaba has been a wanted man at Chloorkop since his days with Free State Stars, but he delayed his move to Tshwane after signing with the Clever Boys at the beginning of last season.

He was part of the Bafana squad that participated in the recent Cosafa Cup tournament in Zambia where they finished third.

The 24-year-old Mashaba has also been included in the Bafana team before while Pitso Mosimane was still at the helm, but he was given his first cap by his former club coach Steve Komphela.
