Roger de Sa revealed to Goal that Yakubu was unlikely to join the Sea Robbers, and didn't know why the trial was cut short by the player.

A source at Maritzburg United has now confirmed to Goal that the AshGold attacker is back in South Africa and training with Maritzburg United.
“There are no clear indications about what will happen regarding his future. He is a great player and any team would love to have him. I think it will depend on the negotiations, but there is no doubt that he is a great striker," said the source.
