Mamelodi Sundowns have bolstered their team with the signing of Togo international defender Emmanuel Mathias at Chloorkop
Mathias never gave up hope of one day playing for the Brazilians as he went back to Nigerian Premier League side Heartlands FC and worked harder to move to South Africa.

The 27-year-old was born in Nigeria, but chose to play for Togo after joining Togolose club, Etoile Filante de Lorne from Nigerian outfit BBC Lions during the 2004/05 season.
Adapting to the culture and style of play at Sundowns should not be much of a hustle for Mathias as he has even travelled with the club for their Zimbabwe tour and featured in friendly matches in Southern African conditions.
