Steve Komphela has signed former Black Leopards captain Mongezi Bobe, beating Moroka Swallows to acquire the midfielder's services

Free State Stars were able to complete a deal for former Black Leopards captain Mongezi Bobe on Monday, despite interest in the player expressed by Zeca Marques and Moroka Swallows.

The 32-year-old, released from Black Leopards last week, decided to join Steve Komphela's side instead of the Dube Birds.

The experienced and talented midfielder joins Ela La Kotla along with new signings Mthokozisi Yende and Lucky Mokoena.

Another confirmed signing on Monday was Grant Kekana's transfer from SuperSport United to University of Pretoria, with the midfielder signing a two-year contract at AmaTuks. 

Kaizer Chiefs striker Sthembiso Ngcobo, according to Kickoff, has signed a one-year loan deal with Bidvest Wits for the 2013/2014 season.

Franklin Cale is undergoing a medical at Ajax Cape Town, while Nazeer Allie is set to join Bidvest Wits as the Urban Warriors players is also taking part in a medical with the club.
