Goal speaks with the Bafana striker Katlego Mashego about his future at Swallows and the upcoming Cosafa Cup
Mashego was away with the national team while Swallows and Sundowns were engaged in negotiations, but the former Pirates forward understands that his future will only be decided by the Dube Birds.

“The club hasn’t said anything to me about Sundowns, which means I will be staying since I still have a contract with Swallows. They will decide on my future,” Mashego told Goal.
Swallows boss Leon Prins had earlier said that they will let Mashego sign with another team if the offer is “good enough” for the player.
Mashego returned to the national team fold after finishing as the league’s top goalscorer with 13 goals last season, and he was part of the Bafana team that played in the 2014 World Cup qualifier matches against CAR and Ethiopia.

He has also been included in the Bafana squad that will travel to Zambia for this year’s Cosafa Cup, and Mashego is excited and wants to honour the call-up.
“I don’t have a problem with playing for Bafana in the Cosafa Cup. I am always ready and happy to represent my country regardless of how big or small the tournament is,” added Mashego.
