Tim Sukazi confirms that Pirates might still lose the services of Tlou Segolela, as there hasn’t been any form of contact between the player and the club chairman Dr Irvin Khoza

Orlando Pirates and Bafana midfielder Tlou Segolela could still leave the Soweto giants when his contract expires at the end of this month (June).

Segolela’s agent Tim Sukazi confirmed to Goal that the player hasn’t met the club chairman Dr Irvin Khoza over a possible extension despite returning from national duty.

“Tlou hasn’t had a meeting with the Pirates chairman since he came back from national duty. He will only join his teammates on June 28, because he was away with Bafana and as things stay his contract expires on June 30,” Sukazi told Goal.

Khoza revealed earlier this month that Segolela has agreed to stay at Pirates although nothing was signed, but the delay could force the speedy winger to seek greener pastures.

Segolela is set to try his luck in Europe before he can consider any other local offers if the Pirates chairman fail to live up to his promise.

“We are keeping our options open, because we don’t know if the chairman would still want to meet the player. There is no indication, and for that reason we are pursuing that European move,” he said.

The 25-year-old midfielder reportedly received an invitation from the Championship side in England, and there has also been interest from a few Belgian clubs.
