Bongani Zungu has turned Sundowns down and wanted to join SuperSport United instead, but he could be seen at Bidvest Wits next season
Zungu was reportedly on his way to Matsatsantsa, but the only person that wanted to sign him at United was coach Gavin Hunt who has since joined Wits.
Mamelodi Sundowns were also interested in the player, but Zungu decided against the deal that was almost finalized between his agent, AmaTuks and Sundowns behind his back.

A source within the AmaTuks camp has informed Goal that Zungu’s desire is to work with Gavin Hunt, and now that the former Swallows tactician is in Johannesburg, the 20-year-old midfielder could change his mind.
“The only reason the player wanted to go to SuperSport United was Gavin and now that he is gone to Wits, I think he will want to follow him there,” said our source.
However, Zungu would not be able to join Hunt at his new club if Wits don’t approach AmaTuks over contract negotiations and a possible transfer.

“Wits should come forward if they want the player, because we cannot approach them to buy our player. If Hunt really wants to work with the player then he knows what to do,” added our source.
Zungu helped AmaTuks finish in the top eight and netted six times in 24 league games in his first PSL season. He was also named the club’s Young Player of the Season for the 2012/2013 season.
