SuperSport United reward Sibusiso Zuma with a one-year deal

One of Matsatsantsa officials has told Goal that veteran striker Sibusiso Zuma will sign a one-year extension to remain in Tshwane

SuperSport United have kept their promise not to let their star players go during this transfer window, and they have gone to reward Sibusiso Zuma with a one-year deal.

Zuma’s contract with United was set to expire at the end of this month (June), and there were rumours that he might follow Gavin Hunt to Bidvest Wits or go back to KZN to join AmaZulu in the new season.

“Zuma stays. We have offered him a one-year deal. He’s has been a team player and we still value his contribution to the team,” one of Matsatsantsa officials told Goal.

Zuma has been with SuperSport United for the past two seasons now, having joined from Vasco Da Gama where he had a season to remember although his efforts could not help the Western Cape side avoid the chop.

The former Sundowns striker is no doubt the oldest player in the PSL, as he turns 38 in the next few days, but it seems like he would still play for a few more seasons.
