Former Kaizer Chiefs captain Jimmy Tau is negotiating with two PSL teams

Jimmy Tau’s agent Jazzman Mahlakgane confirms that the former Chiefs defender is negotiating with two PSL clubs over a possible contract

The future of Jimmy Tau might be over at Kaizer Chiefs, but he is certainly going to be playing top-flight football in the upcoming season.

Tau’s agent Jazzman Mahlakgane confirmed to Goal that they’re negotiating with two PSL clubs over a possible move, but couldn’t reveal the names of those clubs.

“It’s still early to mention the names, but what I can tell is there are two PSL clubs that we are still negotiating with and all will be revealed in no time,” Mahlakgane told Goal.

Although Mahlakgane didn’t want to reveal the names of the two teams, Goal has learnt that Tau could move to either Platinum Stars or Bidvest Wits in the next few days.

The 32-year-old right-back was released by AmaKhosi over a week ago despite spending eight years with the Soweto giants.

He was also thought to be hanging his boots, but the Kimberly-born former Orlando Pirates defender believes that he has a few more years to play.

Tau played no role during AmaKhosi’s 2012/2013 campaign due to a long term injury, but he was raring to go until being told that he is not in coach Stuart Baxter’s plans for the new season.
