Although Johnson has requested Dikwena to terminate his contract, the Rustenburg-based outfit still wants to keep the coach who guided them to a second place finish last season.
Johnson’s saga with Dikwena is not over yet, as Stars even advised the coach to take them to court if he feels that it is within his right to leave the club.
Johnson has however, signed a three-year contract with United, and he will be hoping to emulate what Gavin Hunt achieved with SuperSport United between 2007 and 2010.
The 54-year-old coach will reunite with two of his players at Dikwena in Thuso Phala and Enocent Mkhabela who signed with SuperSport United during the January Transfer window.
He will also be joined by Moroka Swallows duo Bennett Chenene and David Mathebula who both confirmed their departure to Tshwane earlier this year.
