Bidvest Wits coach Clive Barker has made it clear that he would love his contract to be renewed as soon as possible so that he can start planning for next season
The former Bafana coach moved Wits to fourth spot in the PSL table this season, and he achieved a remarkable turnaround by getting the best out of his players.
“I am looking forward to staying at Wits. I have enjoyed myself here and the boys are great. I can’t wait for my contract to be renewed so that I can start making necessary additions to the club as there are couple of players that I would like to add,” said Barker.
Barker made it clear that he was also following former Tuks player Mame Niang in his player wish list for the next season.
“It is unfortunate that Niang is taken, but I would have loved to have him in my team as he is a prolific striker who gives it his best in the field. Nevertheless I am looking at strengthening my striking department, the defence and also the goalkeeping department.
“I know this might sound ridiculous, but AmaZulu players like defender Nyadombo and goalkeeper Tapuwa Kapini are some of the players that I would like to have,” he said.
