PSL champions Orlando Pirates, have been busy in the market during this January transfer window.
Goal.com has been informed that the player is none other than Zambian international Rainford Kalaba.
Kalaba has been linked with Pirates for a while now, and he is believed to have remained in the country despite his national team’s (Zambia) exit in the 2013 Afcon tournament.
“Kalaba’s deal should be finalized before 5pm, his club boss was at our offices earlier to tie-up the deal,” said the source earlier.
Goal.com can now confirm Kalaba has signed a three year deal.
The TP Mazembe’s midfielder failed to secure a move to CS Sfaxien of Tunisia, but has found a home in Parktown.
Elsewhere, Mamelodi Sundowns have allowed Siyabonga Ngubane to join University of Pretoria on loan until the end of the season.
Ngubane was left out of the Sundowns squad that travelled to Zimbabwe in order to allow him to find a suitable team, after it was clear that he will not see any game time under Pitso Mosimane who have since recalled Ramahlwe Mphahlele from Tuks.
Still in Gauteng, Moroka Swallows have made it clear that there won’t be any major signings this transfer window despite struggling to duplicate their last season form.
However, the Dube Birds could promote two youngsters from their development although their names have not been revealed as yet.
