Kaizer Chiefs have announced the signing of goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse after weeks of speculation. Pieterse joins the Amakhosi on a three and half year deal.
Chiefs’ spokesperson, Vina Maphosa, confirmed the news to Goal.com South Africa.
“Yes, Reyaad is a player we have signed from overseas and I can confirm that he’s going to be with us for the next three and half years,” said Maphosa.
After announcing earlier today that they have signed two players, Kaizer Chiefs are reluctant to release the name of the second player and Maphosa told Goal.com South Africa that they are still waiting for the player to get his registration number from the PSL offices before making it public.
“As you would have seen, the second name hasn’t been announced as yet, and the reason for that could be the registration number that he should get from the PSL,” he said.
However, Maphosa, assured Amakhosi fans that it is not a big name player, as it has been rumoured that Knowledge Musona could make his way back to the PSL.
“I cannot reveal the name at the moment, but I can assure our fans that it is one of the players from our development,” revealed Vina Maphosa.
