Kaizer Chiefs’ PRO Vina Maphosa has told Goal.com South Africa that they are planning to loan a few players out before the closing of the January transfer window.
Maphosa confessed that one of those players could be Abia Nale who requested a move away from Naturena for the rest of the season.
“Abia Nale requested to be loaned out for the remainder of the season because players in his position have been doing well. Although he didn’t say to which team but there’s been enquiries from Chippa, Amazulu and Ajax,” explained Maphosa.
“As we speak, all the players are in the camp and the technical team still has to decide on the issue of Abia Nale because he still has two and half-years left on his contract, ” added the Chiefs’ spokesperson.
Maphosa also admitted that the talks to sign young goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse are at an advanced stage and that Pieterse is the only player that would be signed during this transfer window.
“Reyaad has been training with us but he hasn’t signed a contract but I can confirm that the negotiations to sign him are at an advanced stage. The coach (Stuart Baxter) has made it clear that he won’t be signing any player after Reyaad,” said Vina Maphosa.
