The Brazilian has admitted his side were embarrassed after suffering an ignominious 7-0 aggregate defeat to Bayern, but he is determined to bounce back and win La Liga

Barcelona defender Adriano has accepted his team's Champions League exit against Bayern Munich was humiliating, but he is hoping to restore some pride by winning La Liga against Betis on Sunday.

The Catalan giants were convincingly outplayed and outfought across the two legs in their European Cup showdown with Bayern Munich.

However, any slip-up from their rivals Real Madrid this weekend and a win of their own would see them clinch their 22nd league title which Adriano says would go some way to easing the pain.

"The elimination was humiliating, it hurt a lot," he told the press.

"But we have already moved on and we are looking forward to our match with Betis, which we are treating as a final.

"Bayern were much better. It was one of the most difficult games since I have been here.

"La Liga is very difficult, there are some strong teams. If we win it we will be very happy with ourselves."

Adriano, 28, moved to Barcelona from Sevilla in 2010 and has made over 100 appearances for the club.

The Brazilian has the option to extend his current contract which ends next year and the defender believes a deal can be reached.

He said: "As for my future at the club, we are very close to a new agreement and it is my wish to remain here."
