Ajax Cape Town youngsters set for trials in Holland

Ajax Cape Town youngsters Rivaldo Coetzee and Yagan Sasman will be attending trials at Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam for two-and-a-half-weeks
The duo are products of Ajax youth development, and they were vital members of the Urban Warriors youth team that won the U17 Engen Knockout, Metropolitan Premier Cup and Copa Amsterdam Championship winning teams.
“This is a big opportunity, I will do my best to impress. I don’t think it will be difficult to adapt to their system because we use a similar system at Ikamva," Sasman told the official Ajax website.
Left-back Sasman will be heading to Amsterdam for the first time, unlike South Africa under-20 central defender Coetzee who spent three weeks with the Ajax Amsterdam under-18 team earlier this year.
“I am very excited at being given a second opportunity to impress the technical team in Amsterdam," Coetzee said on the site.
"Since my last trip I believe that I have improved a lot by playing in the PSL team. Roger de Sa (Ajax first team head coach) has shown faith in my ability by giving me game-time in his team," he said.
"I know what to expect in Amsterdam. Yagan and I will be at our best to make a good impression,” he concluded.
Sasman is the Ajax under-19 team captain, while Coetzee has since been promoted into the Urban Warriors first team. The duo will leave for Holland on Sunday the 11th of May.
