Goal has learnt that SuperSport United are preparing to bid for Platinum Stars attacker Robert Ng'ambi ahead of the start of next season.

Like any other team in the league, Matsatsantsa are looking to bolster their squad to be able to challenge for honours next term.

And the Malawi international is among their targets for the new campaign, although they've not yet approached his club.

The Tshwane outfit had a difficult season under Cavin Johnson, and nearly missed out on finishing inside the top eight teams on the log.

Johnson and Ng'ambi worked together at Dikwena two seasons ago, where the two helped the Rustenburg side finish second behind Kaizer Chiefs.

Ng'ambi was earlier this year linked with a move to Mamelodi Sundowns, but the Brazilians shifted their attention to Lindokuhle Mbatha, who joined them a few weeks ago.
