thumbnail Hello,

Chiefs have not been getting positive results in recent weeks, and Parker believes that a lack of luck in front of goal has been the reason for their slump

Kaizer Chiefs forward Bernard Parker was pleased with the efforts of his teammates despite facing a dry season after being knocked out of the Nedbank Cup by Bidvest Wits on Saturday.

The PSL leading goalscorer believes that the team has done well in all their games especially after a heavy season that they have had. He added that luck hasn't been on their side in front goal.

"From this hectic schedule we've had, I think we did well, we are playing good," Parker said after the game. "We are doing everything right. It's just that we are unfortunate in front of goal. We hit the post and we try our best and the best is all we can do," he said.

Parker urged his AmaKhosi teammates to keep their heads up going into the final two games of the season, but couldn't hide the disappointment of crashing out of the competition that they won last season.

"We did our best to win as a team, but we draw and we lose as a team. We are a little bit disappointed, but this is football. We just have to keep our heads up and keep playing the game," added Parker.
