Parker ready to lift Chiefs in their remaining four 'Cup finals'

Chiefs need to beat Wits tonight to keep their title hopes alive, and Parker tells the club official website that they are aiming to win all their remaining games

Kaizer Chiefs striker Bernard Parker has revealed that they will approach their Wednesday league clash away to Bidvest Wits knowing that they will be facing a team that is still in the title race.

Mathematically, the Students can still finish top of the log if they win all their remaining games, but they will have to depend on other teams' results as Sundowns have already reached the 60-point mark.

"I'm well prepared for it. Wits is on a high and their confidence is sky high too," said Parker. "I see them looking for a win knowing at the back of their minds that it’s possible for them to win the league as well," he said.

Parker has described their final four league matches as must-wins, but he's aware of the challenges that lie ahead, with every team now fighting to get maximum points.

"Last week we did the job. We played well, and yes, it motivated us for our next league encounter. Every match at this stage is a must win. Polokwane City was poised to cause an upset by beating us as they are fighting the relegation battle. The same with Wits who are fighting to win the league, they too will pose the same challenge," added Parker.

The former FC Twente forward, who currently tops the goalscoring charts with 10 strikes, targets 12 points from their remaining four matches to be able to defend their league title.

"We are well aware and looking to win all our last remaining matches (Wits, FS Stars, Tuks & AmaZulu). We know that defending our title is in our hands. I'm 100% sure we want to hold on tight to our trophies. We know how much it will mean to us as players and to the masses that support the team," he concluded.
