The AmaKhosi goalkeeper joined his teammates in training on Thursday, but it is highly unlikely that he will feature against AS Vita on Saturday nightKaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune has fully recovered from an ankle injury that kept him out of action for the past four weeks.
Khune returned to full training on Thursday, joining the rest of his teammates for the first time since his terrible injury in Durban earlier this month.
The 26-year-old Goal Player of the Year took to Twitter to announce his return: "I had my 1st training session today, feeling good. [I] can't wait to be back to the action."
Despite training with the team, Khune remains doutful for AmaKhosi's Caf Champions League crucial encounter against AS Vita at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
The Glamour Boys will go into this all-important clash seeking four goals to progress to the next round following the terrible 3-0 result in Kinshasa last weekend.
Reyaad Pieterse is expected to assume responsibility in the absence of Khune while Brilliant Khuzwayo, who played against FC Buffalo in the Nedbank Cup, is expected to sit on the bench.
However, given the importance and the magnitude of Saturday's game, it won't come as a surprise to see Khune back in the Chiefs' starting line-up.
