The former SuperSport United marksman has done well enough to be included in the 20-man squad, but he will definitely know later today if he's going to play

New striker Katlego Mphela is set to make his long awaited Kaizer Chiefs debut when AmaKhosi take on Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium tonight (Tuesday).
Goal can confirm that 'Killer' is part of the 20-man squad that traveled to Maritzburg, and Stuart Baxter might be tempted to give him some game time.
Chiefs will trim the squad to 18 later today, and only then would Mphela know for sure if he's fit enough to play part tonight.
The 29-year-old forward sealed his move to AmaKhosi late last month, but Baxter has repeatedly said that he wouldn't rush him to produce miracles as he's still adapting to new life at the club.
However, the timing could just be perfect for the technical team to hand Mphela his debut in Chiefs colours ahead of their Caf Champions League second leg tie away to Black Africa on February 15.
Meanwhile, Simphiwe Mtsweni is also in KwaZulu Natal with the team, and he could also get the opportunity to play against the Team of Choice as Kgotso Moleko is suspended for this encounter.
Moleko, who made his first appearance of the season last week against SuperSport United, was shown red and therefore is ineligible to play for the next two games.
