Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune was declared injured by the national team doctors ahead of the Nigeria clash
Khune is now fit and ready to lead his club against Mamelodi Sundowns at the Loftus Stadium in Pretoria on Thursday.
The national team captain joined the rest of his teammates in training on Tuesday, and it seems all is well with him as the team prepares to keep their top position in the PSL log.
Chiefs communication manager Vina Maphosa tells Goal that the captain is fit to play tomorrow.
"Everyone who was with the national team is training with the team. Yes, including captain and goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune. He is fit to play against Sundowns tomorrow but you know the team choice remains with the coach," Maphosa told Goal.
"What I know he is training with the rest of the players without showing signs of pain or injury, and that's why I am saying, he is fit to play tomorrow," Maphosa told Goal.
