After more than five years with Ajax, defender Thulani Hlatshwayo desperately wants to leave Cape Town, Goal revealsThe Urban Warriors recently lost Lebo Manyama, who joined SuperSport United, and they're now in trouble with Hlatshwayo unsettled.
A Goal source close to the player has revealed that the 24-year-old defender wants to leave Ajax Cape Town amid interest from Gauteng teams.
"Thulani told me about interest from Gauteng teams and he also informed me that he wants to leave Ajax during this transfer window," said the Goal source.
The Soweto-born player has been heavily linked with Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns and Bidvest Wits recently. Hlatshwayo has 10 Bafana Bafana senior caps.
'Tyson' has played 94 matches, scoring two goals for the Urban Warriors since he got promoted from their reserve team into the first team in 2009. The versatile defender is contracted to Ajax until 2015.
Wits are believed to have won the race for Hlatshwayo with a pre-contract agreement.
