The 21-year-old Cele was previously under the watchful eye of Donald Ace Khuse in the Chiefs development, but he is now ready to take his career to another level

Kaizer Chiefs' exciting midfielder Philani Cele could soon make his PSL debut, following the completion of his registration with the League.
Cele was promoted to the first team over a week ago, having impressed Stuart Baxter while playing for Chiefs development side and also during the Macufe Cup game against Bloem Celtic.
Baxter is ready to give Cele a chance to prove himself in the elite league, as he looks to freshen-up his ‘fatigued’ squad ahead of their 2014 Caf Champions League campaign.
Our sources within the Chiefs camp have confirmed that the player can now make his appearance in the first team, although that decision will be taken by the technical team.
“As you know he was promoted to the first team, and the process of registering him started a while back, and he could soon make his debut as the first team player,” revealed Goal’s source.
“I’d like to believe that the club will make an official announcement before the end of this week or early next week after our game in Free State,” added our source.

Chiefs mentor Baxter had previously expressed his delight at the progress made by Cele since being promoted.
“He (Cele) has been moved into the senior squad and he is doing very well,” said Baxter.
