Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt has told Goal that their start to the season is not as impressive as he would have liked, but dismissed suggestions that the team is struggling.

Under Hunt's stewardship, Wits were knocked out of two major competitions this season, and they find themselves grinding results at times, but the coach is convinced that they are making steady progress.

"There's isn't a crisis in the team, and there’s really nothing to worry about," Hunt told Goal. "We are still in touch with the pace-setters. It's not like other teams have been winning consistently too. So, we are not that bad," he said.

The Students take on AmaTuks tonight [Wednesday], and Hunt admits that they have to start collecting points if they are to finish in a higher position than they did last season.

"They are a good side, but we need to start winning games. The aim is always to finish higher than last season, but that won't happen if we don't start winning games regularly," said Hunt.
