Nkosi suffered an injury during Chiefs’ pre-season training, and as a result he missed the opening two games including the Black Label Cup

Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter and his technical team have received a massive boost ahead of their MTN 8 first leg semi-final clash against Orlando Pirates on Saturday.

The PSL champions have confirmed on their website that Siyabonga Nkosi has fully recovered from a calf muscle injury he suffered during the pre-season.

Although the former Bloem Celtic midfielder might still have to work on his fitness before returning to Baxter’s starting line-up, he could still provide Chiefs with a few midfield options in their upcoming games.

Also back in contention is full-back Keegan Ritchie who has not featured in two of AmaKhosi’s competitive games due to his Achilles tendon.

Ritchie is competing with Tsepo Masilela and Siphiwe Mtsweni for the left-back position, and with Masilela’s recent form, the former Swallows player is expected to continue playing second fiddle to him.

Meanwhile, Chiefs team pyshio Dave Milner has revealed that another left-back in Jimmy Jambo is making steady progress with his rehabilitation.

“He had screws removed out of his knee last week and he is progressing well with his rehabilitation,” Milner was quoted on the club website.
