The 26-year-old holding midfielder has been without a club for over a year now after his contract was terminated by Golden Arrows in 2012

Former Orlando Pirates and Ajax Cape Town midfielder Clifford Ngobeni has finally found a new home after signing with Mpumalanga Black Aces.

Ngobeni completed his move to Aces on Sunday after spending weeks training with them, and it looks like Clive Barker has created a position for him in the team.

Aces confirmed that they signed Ngobeni on a one-year deal as they continue to add experience to their existing squad that won them the promotion to the elite league.

The Soweto-born midfielder will be hoping to turn his fortune around at Aces, and the club co-chairman George Morfou said they have given Ngobeni a chance to reignite his career.

“We really believe that he will reignite his career with us and given his obvious talent, we are hoping he will go onto bigger things in his career,” Morfou told the Aces website.

The 26-year-old Ngobeni left Pirates for Golden Arrows in 2011 on an 18-month deal, but he was released six months into his contract after 13 appearances.
