thumbnail Hello,

The new signings from both Chiefs and Pirates have failed to make the starting line-up, but they have acquired enough votes to start on the bench

The starting line-ups for the third edition of the Carling Black Label Cup match between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates have officially been announced.

The fans from both teams have voted for the same players their coaches would probably have selected for the game of this magnitude.

However, the surprise inclusion of Josta Dladla ahead of the hard-tackling midfielder Willard Katsande could give Pirates an upper hand in the midfield.

Collins Mbesuma will lead the Pirates attack together with Ndumiso Mabena, because Lennox Bacela didn’t acquire as many votes.

The defending champions will also be without their experienced centre-back Siyabonga Sangweni due to injury despite receiving the most votes.

Sangweni has since been replaced by Rooi Mahamutsa who is expected to partner captain Lucky Lekgwathi just in front of Senzo Meyiwa.

Chiefs striker Knowledge Musona could not beat either Bernard Parker and Lehlohonolo Majoro for a place in the starting line-up, but the Zimbabwean forward has certainly made the bench.

Orlando Pirates starting line-up: Senzo Meyiwa, Happy Jele, Thabo Matlaba, Rooi Mahamutsa, Lucky Lekgwathi, Sifiso Myeni, Andile Jali, Oupa Manyisa, Tlou Segolela, Collins Mbesuma and Ndumiso Mabena.

Kaizer Chiefs starting line-up: Itumeleng Khune, Siboniso Gaxa, Tsepo Masilela, Eric Mathoho, Tefu Mashamaite, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Josta Dladla, George Lebese, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Lehlohonolo Majoro and Bernard Parker.
