“I have to deliver in the new season. I am not putting myself under pressure, but this is the nature of the sport and it is my obligation to fulfil those expectations. Last season wasn’t my best season, but now I have the duty to do well for the team,” said Myeni.
Myeni joined Pirates at the beginning of 2012, but he could not play because of injuries.
However, the 25-year-old midfielder says he is hoping for an injury-free season, as Pirates will try very hard to wrestle their PSL title away from arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs.

“I know I was brought here, because of the abilities I have to make things happen. I have to show the team that I am here to help. Let us just hope I do not get another long term injuries again.
“I have had all the support and besides our pre-season training has been good so far, something that is giving me hope of having a better season,” he concluded.
