South Africa top flight outfit Mamelodi Sundowns will be in Ghana for their pre-season preparations.
Goal understands Sundowns will play league champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra giants Hearts of Oak.
Sundowns have announced on their website they will be in Ghana from July 12 to 20 and are also hoping to use the visit to strengthen partnership with a lot of Ghana clubs as well as prepare adequately for the Premier Soccer League.
According to the communications coordinator of Sundowns, Thulani Thuswa, the two biggest clubs of Ghana will give them the needed test ahead of next season.
“Hearts and Kotoko are one of the toughest opponents and we really wanted to play them. We really know about them,” he told Accra-based Joy FM.
However, Goal understands the Ghana FA is yet to sanction the pre-season games. Sundowns recently signed Ghana’s Rashid Sumaila in addition to duo Emmanuel Baffour and Mumuni Abubakar.
