The Cape Town Stadium will host a vital PSL playoff match on Sunday, when struggling Cape outfits Santos and Chippa United meet in a must-win game for both teams
The two sides will battle it out for a vital three points at the Cape Town Stadium on Sunday. The match will be played under the cloud of continued court action surrounding Thanda Royal Zulu's case which has gone into arbitration.
Chippa United have also launched an inquiry into the matter, arguing that the playoffs were termed as provisional by the PSL.
However, both teams will have to take the match seriously as the PSL is confident that the playoffs will go ahead, with Black Aces one win away from gaining entry into the South African top-flight next season.
Santos and Chippa United lost their games against Black Aces in earlier matches, with the two sides from Cape Town playing to a draw in their opening clash. Whichever team loses on Sunday will have no hope of staging a comeback with only one game remaining for the Cape sides.
It is a simple equation for Santos and Chippa. A draw will all but secure a place in the PSL for Mpumalanga Black Aces while a win for either side will keep their hopes alive as they face the final round of fixtures.
