Ntshumayelo also spoke about his time with the national team after being selected by Gordon Igesund to be part of the Bafana team that played in the 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifiers.

“Being a national team player is something special. You are basically the face of your country. It is an honour for any player to represent his nation,” he said.

The former SuperSport United midfielder added that he wants to cement his position in the Pirates midfield which would enable him to earn more Bafana caps.

“I have to set some goals for myself for the new season. Playing more regularly with Pirates is one of them and obviously to play in the national team.

“I would like to see myself earning more national team caps, but it starts with cementing my place at Pirates,” added Ntshumayelo.
