Bafana star Sangweni is currently undergoing a rehabilitation programme according to the Orlando Pirates club website.
"Siya is currently in KwaZulu-Natal nursing his injury," said Biokinetic Mandy Solomons.
Solomons also confirmed that the KwaZulu-Natal born player will not start pre-season training with the club.

"I can confirm that he (Sangweni) will not be ready to start pre- season training next week. He comes back to Johannesburg next week, and we will have to book him to work with the physiotherapist for at least a month and then we will see how he responds to treatment," she said.
A source close to him told Goal that he is not putting pressure on himself to return faster, despite the disappointment of missing out on Bafana's World Cup qualifiers.
"He is taking things one step at a time, and the good thing is that he is not putting any pressure on himself. It is a big blow indeed, but I am sure he will heal well and bounce back again," said the source.
