After a thrilling season with SuperSport United, Ronwen Williams told Goal that his award cheered him up after the anti-climax in the Cup
SuperSport United goalkeeper Williams inspired the team to the final of the Nedbank Cup where he made a number of crucial saves on the road to Durban.
Despite losing to Chiefs in Saturdays final, William's Young Player of the Season award is a sign that he should have a future in the Bafana squad if he maintains his progress.

“I am disappointed by the fact that we could not finish strong after all the hard work that we have put in. The only thing that is motivating me now is to keep on working hard. As for the PSL award I am very honoured to earn it,” he said.
Williams said this has been one of his best seasons considering the fact that he was also nominated as one the best PSL goalkeepers this season.
“I must admit that, I have had a great season, it was not easy, but I am glad that everything went well, although we could not win any cup, but we did well,” he said.

The goalkeeper added that he will continue working hard and making sure that he is consistent in all the matches that he plays next season.
“It important to be consistent, and that is what I intend doing next season. I will continue putting the effort at training and finally I will be rewarded with far greater things,” he said.
