Parker: I always put the Chiefs team above myself

Kaizer Chiefs striker Bernard is not concerned about failing to win the Lesley Manyathela golden boot after falling short to Swallows striker Katlego Mashego

The Chiefs and Bafana striker told the official club website that he is not really concerned about not finishing top, but he is just glad that the team won the league.

“It does not really matter how I finished, what is greater is that we are the champions. I believe that it all boils down to team work. I always put the team first at what I do,” said Parker.

The striker also added that his main mandate for joining was to win the cups, and he is happy that, he is now living the life he has always dreamt of,” said Parker.

It is no doubt that each striker is measured through goals that he scored and Parker gave credit to Mashego for topping the charts.

‘I am happy for Mashego and I wish him all the best of luck,” he said.

Going into the Nedbank Cup final against SuperSport United the striker said he is expecting a tough challenge against United.

‘It will not be an easy match, we have to be determined and committed,” he said.
