Ajax Cape Town starlets Travis Graham and Abbubaker Mobara will miss the last game of the PSL season in order to take part in the Copa AmsterdamAjax Cape Town's young talents Travis Graham and Abbubaker Mobara have jetted off to Amsterdam in order to take part in one of the world's leading youth tournaments - the Copa Amsterdam.
According to the club's official webiste, Graham and Mobara have been included in the touring squad which contains the majority of players which won Metropolitan Premier Cup this year.
Graham made ten starts for Ajax Cape Town this season and two substitute appearances. The creative midfielder has displayed his passing talent and vision, much like former Ajax Cape Town players Steven Pienaar and Thulani Serero.
The 19-year-old Mobara has only recently been added to the Ajax Cape Town senior squad and has made a single appearance this season.
The Copa Amsterdam attracts some of the best young players in the world and has welcomed Johan Cruyff on a few occasions to give out prizes and attend the tournament. The inaugural tournament began in 2005, where Panathinaikos came away with the title.
The U/20 tournament has also been won by Chelsea FC in 2010 , AFC Ajax on two occasions (2007 and 2011) and Cruzeiro EC in 2012.
The three day tournament is held in the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam. Ajax Cape Town and Chelsea Ghana are the only sides from Africa participating in the tournament.
