Whilst it seems like the race for the log contenders is clear, there is more competition for position four as Wits, Celtic and SuperSport United are all geared up
Despite playing to a 2-2 draw with Free State Stars, Bloemfontein Celtic’s goal of finishing in the top four are still alive. Had they won in their derby against Stars on Saturday at the Free State Stadium they would have been sitting in the top four today.
Failing to win Saturday's match sees them remain in fifth position, two points behind Bidvest Wits, who defeated AmaZulu 3-1. A brace from Botswana international Joel Mogorosi was not enough to see Bloemfontein Celtic pick up maximum points in the penultimate round of league action.

This was his eighth goal of the PSL campaign and he will be hoping to finish with a bang when they play the last game against Swallows.
Free State Stars were happy to pick up an away point from Celtic but the home team will feel they did enough to win the match, the bragging rights and the race for fourth spot.

The spotlight of the race for log positions will shine next Saturday when the final round of fixtures will be played. Two other contenders for fourth spot, SuperSport United and Moroka Swallows played to a goal-less draw on Saturday leaving them both behind Celtic on points.
SuperSport United, on 40 points and sixth place do have a game in hand, but that is against log-leaders Kaizer Chiefs. They then finish with a match against second-placed Platinum Stars.
Celtic will next take on Swallows, who lie in seventh position on 39 points while current fourth place holders Bidvest Wits have an away outing to Sundowns.
