thumbnail Hello,

After having one of his personal best seasons, AmaZulu goalkeeper told Goal that he would like to finish it on a high

Kapini has been outstanding and showed a lot of maturity in his goalkeeping at AmaZulu this season. With nine clean sheets in twelve games, Kapini said he is proud of himself.

“I am honestly very happy with the way I have performed this season. This is indeed one of my best seasons with AmaZulu, and I am happy to have positive value,” he said.

Coming back from injury this year, and having had to fight for his spot, Kapini said hard work and commitment helped him.

“It was not easy at all, but I told myself that I have to work hard so that the team can be in a better position,” he said.

The goalkeeper also added that his teammates played a crucial role in holding each other up and communicating when the chips were down.

“All in all, I think it was a team effort. We played according to our motto which says ‘if we don’t score, the other team must not score as well,’ and I think that is what helped us,” he said.

With two games remaining for this season, he said he would be delighted to keep a clean sheet in both the games, starting with Wits on Saturday.

“I would love to finish with a clean sheet. I know that Clive knows me, but I am determined to do well once again and lead upfront,” he said.
