Rosslee: I don’t want false hope for Ghanaian striker Bokoe signing for AmaZulu

Following information that AmaZulu are after Ghanaian striker Eric Bokoe, Craig Rosslee spoke to Goal about their chances

The Usuthu coach said there are many teams that are after Bokoe, and he has learnt over the years that players usually disappoint by changing their minds.

“I don’t want to raise too much hope about getting the player. In football you can only confirm once you have signed the player. With other big teams that are after him, it is really difficult to say where he will end up,” said Rosslee.

Despite all that, the coach confirmed that he wants the Ghanaian striker in his team for next season.

“He is a great player and I wouldn’t mind having him in my squad. We need players that will be able to be productive and who will score for the club,” he said.

Rosslee said he is looking at signing six to seven players during the off season so that he can bolster his squad next season.

“I am looking at around six to seven players to add to the current squad. Maybe I might have to cut some players, but you can’t really sell your old shoes if you don’t have new ones. At the same time one needs to look at the players who are committed to the club and make sure that they get the opportunity to play again,” he said.
