With the PSL season almost over, teams are expected to boost their squads by signing new players for the upcoming season and Mamelodi Sundowns is certainly amongst those teams.
An insider within the Sundowns camp has informed Goal.com that a major clear-out is expected at Chloorkop at the end of the season, as coach Pitso Mosimane will finally get a chance to bring in new players that can take the team forward.
“Pitso came in late last year and he was unable to sign players because there were already players in the team, but this is his chance to make those important signings,” said an insider who asked to remain anonymous.
“He is yet to confirm the names of those who will be leaving the club, but I promise it’s going to be a major clear-out,” revealed our source.
Mosimane, who is hoping to guide Sundowns to a top eight finish, is believed to be a huge fan of Maritzburg United striker Cuthbert Malajila and Black Leopards’ Rodney Ramagalela.
Malajila has been on form this season and he has scored 10 league goals so far this season while Ramagalela’s ability to score goals is unquestionable.
“Malajila and Ramagalela could be here (at Sundowns) depending on how the negotiations go, but Pitso made it clear that he wants them at Sundowns next season,” explained our source.
