Head of World Football at Prosport International Paschalis Tountouris confirms that Knowledge Musona will not be coming back to the PSL next season despite interest from big clubs

The future surrounding former Kaizer Chiefs striker Knowledge Musona has been cleared and the Zimbabwean international will continue to play in Europe despite some interest from the PSL clubs including Kaizer Chiefs.

Musona moved to Germany in 2011 to join Hoffenheim after finishing the 2010/2011 season as the PSL’s top goalscorer with 15 goals, but he was later loaned out to FC Augsburg where he has found it difficult to break into the starting line-up.

However, Head of World Football at Prosport International Paschalis Tountouris has confirmed on his twitter handle that Musona wants to remain in Europe.

“I can confirm that priority of Knowledge Musona is to continue his career in Europe,” said Tountouris.

Tountouris also confirmed that AmaKhosi are still a team closest to Musona’s heart, but he maintained that the player wants to prove himself in European before coming back to the PSL.

“Musona loves Chiefs! That’s where his professional career started, but he wants to continue his efforts for a European recognition,” he said.

The 22-year-old Musona will return to Hoffenheim at the end of the Bundesliga campaign, purely because he is still contracted with them until 2016.
