Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane was satisfied with the attitude of his senior players during their 2-1 win over Free State Stars on Tuesday night and believes that the Brazilians are capable of winning all their remaining games
Mosimane believes that there is nothing wrong with Sundowns and added that he is happy with the way they dominate possession against their opponents, but he wants fans to understand that the team is going through tough times.
“I always say there is nothing with Sundowns. Sundowns is a good team. Even against Bloem Celtic in the first half we played better than our first half tonight (on Tuesday), but we took our chances. Every team we play against we are superior. We dominate. People must understand that we’re going through emotions,” said Mosimane after the match.
Mosimane was also impressed with the way his senior players handled the pressure against Ea Lla Koto and he believes that with the same mentality and commitment, Sundowns can win all their remaining games.
“Senior players came to the party, Nyasha was there, Teko was also there. We can even win the rest, but it’s one step at the time. We should not get excited, but we have a team that can win the rest of the games,” he said.
On the other hand, Free State Stars coach Steve Komphela believes that there was a little they could as his players fought hard in the dying minutes, but he has vowed to bounce back.
“We came up nicely, more especially towards the last minutes where I thought we were on top of them and you could see stress level getting to them. Congratulations to them. I am sure they will have a bit of a breather, but for us the show goes on,” said Komphela after the match.
