thumbnail Hello,

Chiefs’ goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo tells the club website that he was satisfied with his performance against Platinum Stars and admits that he was nervous before the game

Just a few hours after making his Kaizer Chiefs debut, goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo thanked all his teammates for the support prior and during the game against Platinum Stars on Sunday.

Khuzwayo believes that he wouldn’t have kept an important clean sheet against Dikwena if it wasn’t for his teammates.

“It wouldn’t have been possible to do it on my own. The support from my teammates motivated me,” said Khuzwayo.

The 23-year-old former AmaZulu stopper had to step-up and fill the big boots of Itumeleng Khune between the sticks and he admitted that he was nervous before the game.

“I was a bit nervous before the game, but Sthembiso Ngcobo spoke to me again about the importance of focusing on the game,” he said.

Khuzwayo has vowed to work hard and learn from his teammates. He has also promised to grab every chance he gets under Stuart Baxter.

“I will keep on learning from my fellow teammates and make sure when I get another chance I grab with both hands,” concluded Khuzwayo.
