thumbnail Hello,

Goal.com caught up with the Pirates keeper Senzo Meyiwa following their hard-fought 1-0 win over Bidvest Wits on Saturday night

Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa has told Goal.com that all the players in the camp are confident of defending their league title with only four games remaining.

Pirates are seven points behind log leaders Kaizer Chiefs with a game in hand and Meyiwa believes that they will do all they could to win their remaining games.

“We are in a difficult situation,  but the confidence is high in the camp. We all believe that we can win all our remaining games. We know it is going to be tough, but that’s what we need to do if we are to stand any chance of defending our title,” Meyiwa told Goal.com.

The Buccaneers are mathematically in the title race and they would finish on 61 points should they win all their remaining games while AmaKhosi could finish on 65 points should they collect all nine points on offer.

However, the Bafana shot-stopper believes that Chiefs will drop points in their remaining three games.

“We are not worried about calculations, because I am sure Chiefs will lose points in their remaining games. We just need to do what we have to do and that is to win all our remaining games,” added Meyiwa.

Pirates will play all their remaining games at home starting with Chippa United on Tuesday, before hosting Mamelodi Sundowns on May 11. Their last two games will be against Black Leopards and Bidvest Wits.
