Ajax Cape Town Head of Technical Muhsin Ertugral has assured the Urban Warriors fans that his relationship with striker Mabhuti Khenyeza is awesome.
Muhsin and Khenyeza had a bust up while the two were still at Kaizer Chiefs a few seasons ago, but the Turkish coach is certain that there won’t be any rifts going forward.
“First and foremost, Mabhuti is a professional and so am I. There are no egos involved here,” Ertugral told the club website.
Khenyeza left Ajax Cape Town immediately after the appointment of Ertugral back in 2009 and joined Mamelodi Sundowns before returning to the Cape Town outfit at the beginning of the year from SuperSport United.
However, Ertugral said that they have resolved their issues a “while back”, although things can change should he coach Ajax Cape Town on a permanent basis next season.
“Football is an emotional game and we both professionals in what we do. We resolved all our issues a while back,” added Ertugral.
Ertugral has since been asked to take over as Ajax Cape Town coach following the resignation of coach Jan Versleijen on Thursday morning and he is faced with the challenge of keeping the Urban Warriors in the elite league next season.
