Shabba: I feel that this is a season for Kaizer Chiefs

In an exclusive interview with, Chiefs’ Siphiwe Tshabalala revealed that this is a season for the Glamour Boys to win the PSL title and the Nedbank Cup

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphiwe “Shabba” Tshabalala has told that he feels this should be a season where Amakhosi will go all the way and lift both the PSL title and the Nedbank Cup.

Shabba added that he’s getting closer to realizing his dream when he first decided to join AmaKhosi, although he said he will save his excitement until the end of the season.

“I strongly feel that this is a season for Chiefs to lift both the trophies (league title and the Nedbank Cup), but I know that it is still early to judge,” Shabba told

“The excitement is building up, but I am not going to celebrate only to find out that we win nothing. So, I am going to save my excitement until the final day,” he said.

“The reason I joined Chiefs was to win trophies with them and I believe I am too close to fulfilling that dream with the two trophies left,” added Shabba.

The league title and the Nedbank Cup remain the only two trophies that the Bafana winger has failed to win with AmaKhosi since joining them from Free State Stars in 2007, but Chiefs will get closer to their first league title in eight years should they win against Platinum Stars on Sunday afternoon.
