Sundowns have officially extended Nyasha Mushekwi’s contract for another year and the news was confirmed by Downs’ Thulani Thuswa
Sundowns’ media officer Thulani Thuswa confirmed to Goal.com that the Zimbabwean international will still be at Chloorkop club next season.
“We had an option to renew Nyasha’s contract by one year when we first signed him and we are glad that we have exercised that option. The player wanted to stay and all parties are happy,” Thuswa told Goal.com.
Although Mushekwi is set to remain at Sundowns next season, it is believed that there are number of European clubs that are interested in the lanky striker.
Thuswa also confirmed that Sundowns won’t stand in Mushekwi’s way should they receive a concrete offer for his services.
“Sundowns will never stand in any of their players’ way. This applies not only to Mushekwi, but to all the players in the team. If we get a firm offer for Mushekwi then we will let him go,” said Thuswa.
