Mushekwi signs contract extension with Mamelodi Sundowns

Sundowns have officially extended Nyasha Mushekwi’s contract for another year and the news was confirmed by Downs’ Thulani Thuswa

Mamelodi Sundowns striker Nyasha Mushekwi has agreed to stay with the club for at least another season after signing a contract extension on Tuesday.

Sundowns’ media officer Thulani Thuswa confirmed to that the Zimbabwean international will still be at Chloorkop club next season.

“We had an option to renew Nyasha’s contract by one year when we first signed him and  we are glad that we have exercised that option. The player wanted to stay and all parties are happy,” Thuswa told

Although Mushekwi is set to remain at Sundowns next season, it is believed that there are number of European clubs that are interested in the lanky striker.

Thuswa also confirmed that Sundowns won’t stand in Mushekwi’s way should they receive a concrete offer for his services.

“Sundowns will never stand in any of their players’ way. This applies not only to Mushekwi, but to all the players in the team. If we get a firm offer for Mushekwi then we will let him go,” said Thuswa.
